The Great Northwest Fibre Fest!
Share

We attended the Great Northwest Fibre Fest in Prince George last weekend, and it was quite a trip! I drove up from Vancouver with my friend Kath and we stayed at the Prince George Ramada, which was the same hotel where the festival was located.
We had fun in Prince George and had the chance to check out a few local restaurants, including a wonderful family-focused Thai place called Thanh Vu and a cool Nepali fusion restaurant called Himalayan Bites, which serves up Nepalese-style momo dumplings, a personal favorite.
The thing that struck us most about our day at the show was how incredibly warm and welcoming the people were. The volunteers, organizers and attendees were all incredibly kind and seemed very excited to see us! Kath took a few photos of the line-up at the Slan Baby booth and as you can see--things were busy!
We introduced a new product for this event, some very cute tree ornaments filled with yarn minis in a cake. They were quite popular, so definitely look for them at future shows! Eventually we may even sell them on-line. :)
